Rushing water. Smooth stones. Cool mist on your face. A place where everyone comes to play, wander, and stay awhile.
There are places that seem to draw everyone toward them.
The river is one of those places.
Adults come to fish while children climb over rocks and disappear into the tress. Walking across giant stones to reach the other side, balancing carefully as the water rushed around our feet.
The river never stops moving. Water tumbles over rocks in little waterfalls. Moss softenes the banks. Smooth stones warm beneath the sun. From the bridges, you can stand for what feels like forever and simply watch the current carry everything downstream.
The air is cool and misty near the water, fresh enough to fill your lungs.
And yet there's a stillness there, too.
A strange and beautiful kind of stillness that comes from watching something move endlessly without ever needing to hurry.
The river flows.
The earth holds steady.
And everyone who comes there seems to find their own little place beside it.
That is the feeling behind Winding River.
The Blend
A fresh, grounding blend of genmaicha, goldenrod, rose hips, and cleavers. Toasted rice gives the green tea a warm, nutty depth reminiscent of sun warmed river stones, while goldenrod and cleavers bring the feeling of green banks and moss-covered earth. Rose hips add a subtle brightness to echo the freshness of rushing water.
The Peace of the River
There's something magical about water that never stops moving.
The river teaches us that stillness doesn't always mean standing still. Sometimes peace is simply finding your place beside the movement and letting it carry on without you.
Winding River is a cup for that feeling.
For skipping stones, Crossing bridges. Wandering along the banks. Sitting beside the water with nowhere else to go.
For the sound of rushing water and the quiet that lives underneath it.
